Festival Pause Guitare
Cité épiscopale d’Albi
The “Festival Pause Guitare” which takes place every year at the beginning of July, is an important musical event in the Albi calendar.
More than 50 French groups, and a handful of major international acts, perform on seven stages throughout the town, three of which are free to the public. The main stage, with a capacity of 4,000, sees artists performing right in front of the Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile, an impressive spectacle which brings together living art and Albi’s artistic heritage.
Over four days 75,000 visitors are welcomed onto the site by 425 volunteers.
In keeping with Albi’s support for ’Agenda 21’ and for sustainable development, the “Festival Pause Guitare” is committed to being an environmentally friendly festival, investing in reusable cups, dry toilets, carbon offsetting by planting trees...
